Nice one Derek, simplification of a complex subject cleverly and beautifully done.

Thanks Willie. We have the superb Winchester Cathedral on our door step. this isn't from there, just an idea.

This is brilliant Derek! It has all the strength of the stone pillars and arches...great colour combination too.

Thanks Fiona, did give it a lot of thought.

Lovely combination of colour again, Derek. like it!

Thanks Frank, dennis, Andre, Jennie and Julie

Striking painting, Derek, great dark and light and colours too.

I like the impression of that stained glass window Derek. Those thoughts have been v. Successful.

I like the palette you've used in this one Derek.

This works so well Derek! I can feel that summer sun shining on the cool pillars here.

Thank you Cesare, Marjorie, Frank and Sarah. I have sent it ot our club pres who is in the RI and asked forcomments as he paints all modern and abstract stuff

Really really good Derek.

Nice abstract approach to this subject good imaginative work..

Stunning piece, Derek. I really like the layers, the hint of shapes and the atmosphere by the bucketloads.

Superb colours and imaginative use of that credit card...!!! keep meaning your method a try, because it looks like great fun!!

Like the abstract painting with lovely colour

Thanks Alan, Seok, Chandra and Ruth. Please do try it. It's messy but washes off.

I was never one for abstract and I don't think I am there yet for my own art, but I must say that this is very impactive and very well executed. I do like this a lot Derek.

I wasn't either Billy but now am, a stroke did it for me I think. Thanks for your nice comment.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
