Kinky pink - not a colour I would have thought of using and yet it works so well in this great painting.

The pink works Derek. If it's a semi abstract go the whole hog, and give it some surreal colours. I really like the mix in this , very expressive and exciting.

Thanks Michael, bit of a loose tryout really. Is that you with aletter in The Artist?

Pink gives this warmth and creates a lovely Summer's day. A beautiful interesting painting Derek!

The colours all work very well to give a very dynamic picture, Derek.

I like this and the pink does work. I think the foreground is particularly strong and love the strong blue line and reflections of the woman

Cheers Chandra and Janet.

She is bit flat footed, just noticed.

I really like the creation of texture & colour. However, the area in front of the woman seems to be incompatible to me. My eyes are not that good, but I see a reflection of a suited male figure, and as you've noticed, the woman's feet appear to be missing. The pink/blue/white is stunning, especially as the background is dark.

Thanks Frank, the foreground is the bit I am liking more. The shadow - is that right at the bottom? Just an impression that's all.

Great style Derek.

Just the great feeling of light makes it work perfectly for me Derek.

Lovely city scene, Derek. It is not a confortable subject, but you are painted it very well.

I love this one Derek, the woman and the couple are really well painted in a lovely loose way and the vibrant colours work so well.

This is great, Derek! Full of excitement and atmosphere. Lovely!

Thank you Marjorie, Cesare, Rachel and Shirley May

28 x 40cms on tinted dark khaki pastel paper. Saw this magazine image somewhere and liked it enough to memorize after making a quick sketch which was laughable. I have varied the colours and getting a little better with cards on bigger sizes. Don't often use pink on roads.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
