I can't imagine doing that with credit cards. Well done Derek.

I did honestly, thanks Dorothy

Credit cards have worked well for the grass. What size is it?

What grass? that is a tree lined river bank - oh well. Size as stated.

This is excellent, Derek. It's full of atmosphere and the interaction of shapes and colors brings the entire painting together beautifully.

Thanks Seok. This was Limeuil at the convergance of the Dordonge with the Vezeres. There are two bridges at right angles. During the night on the campsite just beyond the riverbank shown there was a hell of a bang. When we towed our caravan away to continue our touring, we found out why. The authorites were repairing the bridge rails (big drop) where a car had crashed into them, luckily not dropping into the water.

Wonderfully textured, which I presume comes from using a credit card (mine gets used for much more damaging things!!) Love the colours and the very impressionistic feel of the work.

Super piece Derek you have caught the scene so well. Call it a Mastercard

I like it Derek, especially the green background area against the white lines of the tree. It all works very well, good technique!

Thanks Thea, dennis and Louise - what tree? That's a sunshade. Oh well again.

Very nice indeed, Derek. A colourful and vigorous piece of work.

Lovely and striking Derek.

Thanks CA and Kal

The texture is wonderful!! I thought that you had used oil pastels Derek!

Good depiction of cyclists and bikes which are hard to draw.

All with credit cards. From a sketch en plein air in 2012 on the Dordonge. 27 x 14cm on paper.

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
