Your mind is really flying now, isn't it - no pun intended! An interesting composition and one that gets the viewer thinking. The plane is a great addition, but perhaps it would have been even better if you had painted in a few of the Red Arrows - they always turn up at ceremonies, don't they - and that splash of red would have looked wonderful. Just an idea, but love your painting as it is.

Thanks Thea, the plane was painted very badly, so yes if I'd thought about it, the Red Arrows would have been better, little red splashes not distinctive would have worked.

I think the plane breaks up the symmetry of the painting, Derek, so it's nicely done. Good tonal work too.

A Monocrhome try using RawUmber and Titanium White. The plane added to cover a clumsy smudge, keeps happening with me, darn it. Not sure about it, the plane, but using paint up after the Owl job. 34 x 21cms on mountboard

Eleventyeight as my hashing pals called my new age recently, it's supposed to sound better. Trying to paint every day in acrylics using only expired credit/debit cards, and partially succeeding as they're only for me and not show these days.
