Sometimes, when we go back to a painting after a few days, we realise that we were wrong and it's pretty good. Turn it to the wall for a few days, look again and you'll see what we see, a good painting!

It's a cracker Derek......it's got life, movement, and I love the bright colours of the silks, which are really set off by your choice of background colour.

I think this impressionistic painting is great Derek, it's full of movement and colour and really benefits from the lack of detail.

27 x 16cms on heavily gessoed paper. Using a photo of one of my own watercolours. Found this very difficult and not happy but that's it. May play again on similar subject but with more thought in prep,
