Comments

Surprised that you've had no comments - maybe it didn't stay near the front of the gallery for long. I don't often comment on works since I'm pretty much a tyro myself, but thought that this deserved it. I think that the perspective on the boats going round the canal bend is excellent, and I like the way that you've handled the reflections - for me the dry-brush work here is very effective. I really like the muted palette, which emphasises the colours in the canal boats without them needing to be over-bright.

I think the reason poor Derek maybe hasn't had more comments has been that there has been so much chaos recently by multiple posters and some people simply got lost in the general mix up which is a shame because this is indeed a gorgeous view of he canal bend and as Bill has said the perspective is excellent, and the boats add lovely bright touches of colour, the canal itself looks super, the waters is so realistic with super reflections, a really lovely watercolour.

Thank you very much for your comments i am really pleased that i have such comments from fellow artist about my work. Thank very much Bill & Ros P.
