That's very good Dennis, I recognised him the split second I saw it in the gallery. Great, well caught, I enjoyed that. He's a good subject too, plenty to read into that face...

Yes a great persona Roland thanks so much

Lovely Dennis, good detail :)

Captured a good likeness Dennis, a great quickie sketch.

Many thanks Maria and Alan all I can manage at the moment

Oh this is a great drawing Dennis!

Many thanks Russell inspired by a greater man

Nice portrait Dennis very well executed and good likeness

Great minds think alike - I was thinking of having a bash at JC; probably won't now though, because I'm not sure I could compete! Very sensitive drawing, right down to his specs case and pen in the shirt pocket.

We may even have a human being as a party leader again, and not another blasted automaton....

Excellent Dennis, and he's worth three pounds of anyodies money.

Super likenness Dennis.

Good sketch Dennis, pity some people are using the gallery as a political forum though !!!

Many thanks all a portrait of a great man no politics intended would Churchill portrait be classed as political or a portrait of a pig?

Excellent likeness Dennis, you've captured the essence of the man.

Sorry Dennis I was not referring to you in regard to the political bit .

Excellent lines and marks. You've captured a good likeness, Dennis.

Many thanks Christine and Seok I know Malcolm but thank you it gave me an opportunity to illustrate a point for others

Politics aside, this is a great portrait, Dennis, instantly recognisable.

Thanks Jenny it's only a quick drawing of a man I admire while too ill to paint.

Spotted him straight away Dennis.

Excellent Dennis. Every mark counts.

Had to come back for another look at JC........ Its great!

Thanks so much Roland I have respected the man for many years

A wonderful likeness achieved here Dennis...I too knew who it was soon as I saw it.

A lovely drawing. It has an honesty and integrity about it. I hope soon you are in better health to capture this in your favoured medium.
In passing, I don't think there were any party political points made by anybody - including me if I was the one meant. At least four years away from an election, there wouldn't be any point apart from anything else, even if propagandizing for or against a political party would work on this site (which it wouldn't).

If the character of the man is revealed by the drawing however - which I believe it is - then I don't see a problem with mentioning it: not to do so would make a representation of any contemporary politician an excessively sensitive subject - unnecessarily so.

Many thanks Chandra Philip and Roger. I have no respect for any political party but JC is way above the run of the mill

Don't like the man but your portrait of him is stunning Dennis - well done.
