I like your choice of media Dennis. I also like this painting, very Penine!

Many thanks Carole I am going to go bright again all being well

This is awesome work Dennis, it really is so full of atmosphere. Pure brilliance.

Another beauty looking over the roof tops I'd love to see how you produce one right from your initial plan through to completion

Many thanks Alan and Dennis .With these they start with an all over wash and go through many changes and the painting progress builds adding and blending colours and designs I often turn it in different planes and maybe see a totally different idea. Could say a lot more but that is the basic idea

A very familiar sight from the past Dennis. I can see the colour creeping back in, just one thing, how big are these paintings usually?

Yes Marjorie small no bigger than half imperial

I really like the composition and lines in this one. The rich teals and fuchsia, magenta's or purples that you used stand out in this very dark and grey toned atmosphere. It is very moody, was this your intention?

Love this, Dennis, the composition and subdued colours, but especially the foreground purples.

A stunning piece dennis. Colours, shapes and what I can see in it is amazing

You're a genius Dennis! Love the mood of this and the simplicity but it's still powerful.

Many thanks all I used about seven glazes and washes here and do enjoy studying layer of darks and not much in the way of contrast with suggestions

Full of atmosphere, Dennis. Very dramatic. Interesting to read your method, with layering and looking at different planes. I will try that myself.

Sounds fantastic Dennis I sometimes turn a painting and see a new scene myself and they often end up as crackers , either way I enjoy the journey, many thanks Dennis for the explanation it seems so familiar to me .

Thought you would know Dennis

Very atmospheric indeed Dennis and it's great to see you constantly amaze with your versatility

Many thanks Dermot and Chandra

A very atmospheric piece of work, Dennis.
