Self Portrait

Super Dennis, though it likes like a bit of a grimace?

Wonderful shadow and light Dennis. A truly good portrait which I see the pain in your eyes Dennis. I’m so glad to see you back x

I do like the grey / brown colours here Dennis - and the fall of the light. But, unlike me, you’ve got no wrinkles!

This is a portrait that packs a punch Dennis. I love the colours and how the light falls across the lower part of the face. but the almost harrowing gaze of the eyes is quite unsettling. A very emotive painting Dennis, brilliant!

Wow, this packs a punch. Really like the close up and your use of colour, a superb painting

Agree with the other comments, Dennis, a great portrait, but with a slightly troubled expression.

Many thanks Carole Marjorie yes I knew I had forgot something but it would have taken another week and Heather and Jenny

This is super Dennis, great job.

This is very impressive Dennis. Although I don’t know what you look like I feel that you have been totally honest and not prettied yourself up. It’s very difficult to paint a self portrait as it makes you feel as if your bearing your soul to the world. There is a deep compassion shining out here and a lifetime of stories within your face. Your treatment of light and slightly hunched pose is beautifully honest Dennis.

Many thanks Carole I wanted to bring back a bit of honesty to the world without the wrinkles 😎

Good to see you posting again Dennis.

Absolutely top notch, Dennis. Really emotional response to a self portrait, it shows through!

Many thanks George Paul and Thalia

I agree with all the comments, great work Dennis

It's lovely to see you in this superb self portrait Dennis.

Nothing added and nothing taken away……such honesty Dennis. You look well and truly peed off. You are lovely x

Many thanks Diane and Fiona yes the novelty is worn off
