This gives a really different texture Dennis, not tried that with oil pastels, will have to have a go sometime 🤣

Yes and not too messy Linda

Nice choice of medium, dennis. Lovely textures. The scene has a delightful movement about it.

very beautiful Dennis and with a difficult medium , I did some years back in oil pastel and found it demanding but you still kept the freshness as good as ever , FIRST CLASS

Yes tried them in the past Dennis great for when too tired to paint

I like this very much, different and interesting. Always interested to see an oil pastel work as I've made several unsuccessful attempts with the medium. Could you please tell us a little about how you use the turps with the pastels? Dip the pastel into the turps? Or brush turps over pastel? Thank-you.

What paper did you use? I love the textures from the tooth

The paper is Fabriano acrylic paper 20 inch by 28 inch Diana a really economical paper and super strong. Yes Sandra I poured it on like water in a wash after laying down some pastel. At that stage you can do what you want but you need a primed paper or the turpentine will damage it with age

This is different and interesting Dennis, lovely work.

Unusual with great Summery colours Dennis.

Many thanks Margaret and Carole

Love the effect Dennis unfortunately I can only use oil pastels dry as any solvents affect me as I am asthmatic.

Yes that's the problem with it Barry but there is no need with the quality of your watercolour work

This is very effective, Dennis. I've got some oil pastels I've never used, must give it a go!

Good Dennis, will give it a go myself.

Well done Jenny and John my watercolours are at the boat and I like to experiment with different media in the winter

Lovely work Dennis, I have had oil pastels for ages now but never got round to trying them out, you give me inspiration to have a go. Thanks

Have a go David but try to keep your lovely sense of light

I knew right away it was yours, Dennis. Wonderful light.

Many thanks Cesare just a scribble

Great work - almost abstract

Many thanks Michael and Gudrun
