Says it all Dennis. Great painting.

Clutching failure out of the jaws of victory, and she asked for it! Pride comes before a fall as they say.

Yes once powerful male or female makes no difference. Many thanks Willie and Linda I haven't been cruel and have tried to show the humanity but it is not easy the game of painting

You're right Dennis, whatever your politics it's a difficult road ahead!

I love your colour choice Dennis. Really nice technique.

Ah .... poor woman. I sort of mean that - I think she horribly, horribly miscalculated but I don't want to add political thoughts where they aren't really needed. There's a hint of 'oh Lor', what, what have I done?', and that's enough for me. I just have a vision of her visit to the Queen - 'Oh deary, Terry - been a bit of a twit, haven't we? What a blessing Philip isn't here: he'd have been so unkind - tee hee. Oh, I'm sorry .... snicker. D'you know what he said? Oh so witty .... but you don't want to hear that; no, of course you don't. Titter. Oh hee hee - so sorry; no, really, I just mustn't. Oh dear oh dear..... Regal chortle.... Heeeeee heeeeee.... No, sorry. Got control of myself now. Absolutely. Couldn't be helped ....... daft bat! Oh hee hee..... ahem. No no. Courage, Liz. Mustn't mock. Har he har har! Oh dear oh Lor', someone help me to the throne, I'm having a nasty accident....... ' Sorry if this isn't entirely reverent.

Very expressive portrait, Dennis.

I'll settle for saying nice work Dennis. (-:

Many thanks Christine Ibolya Robert that was brilliant indeed straight out of Dickensian times I couldn't stop laughing and read it about four times and Cesare very much appreciated indeed

Very kind of you Jim very much appreciated indeed

You got it I think in that expression. Part of me feels sorry for her...she can't seem to get it right. The tilt of the head, the sad eyes, the mouth, you've really summed her up Dennis. Excellent painting.

Blue is cold, thats fits her personality. You caught the the cold stare and awkwardness perfectly.

I know what you mean Marjorie and very kind of you Timothy

Great painting, really apt choice of colour to convey her mood.

Many thanks Sandra very much appreciated indeed

Like a punch in the stomach.... Terrific piece Dennis - full of expression. Superb

Good likeness, they put themselves up in the limelight but it is a very rocky road they travel on. Would our Jeremy fare any better I wonder?

Great likeness Dennis great colour. I agree with Stephen, not much to choose between any of them! We need a very special person to take us through our unpredictable future, at the moment I see no one with that quality I'm afraid!

Many thanks Paul I am afraid as Carole says she's taking the flack for many years of an almost religious belief by all the bought puppets who take from the poor and struggling to give to the rich. Slightly I think Stephen he's used to it Russell And Carole very much appreciated indeed

Great painting Dennis, shows the very human face behind the politician's mask.

Perhaps we expect too much from our leaders? They are only fallible humans like the rest of us, glad I don't have to make great decisions, just what to paint next! It would be a chaotic but happy place if we were all artists!!

Many thanks Jackie that was the aim agree totally Stephen very much appreciated indeed

Wow,that expression...

Many thanks Peter sometimes a momentous time happens very much appreciated indeed

Well there is no mistaking who this is you have painted her so well Dennis.

Many thanks Val very much appreciated indeed

Such a great likeness Dennis, what a fabulous portrait of the lady herself!

Many thanks Margaret very much appreciated indeed

You've certainly captured the mood, Dennis.

Many thanks Seok very much appreciated indeed
