Oh! I do like country lanes where there's grass growing in the middle of the road. They are usually so peaceful and you have caught that effect here Dennis; although with the Magpies around I'm sure that it can get quite noisy.

Love the russet colour on the field and the long shadows. I feel the path is pulling the eye strongly to the corner of the painting, perhaps moving the figures a little to the right to counteract that? The post does help in that respect.
