Hi Nancy thank you for commenting on true love , don't they melt your heart . I sometimes feel a small subject painted well , is much better than a grand one with let's say awkward areas. Glad you love birds , so do I and all creatures really no matter what they are .

Gorgeous budgies Dennis, I used to have a green one many moons ago.

Thanks Margaret I had a few but to be honest I don't nowadays believe in keeping animals of any sort in cages . However I did love these little darlings.

So very lovely. I particularly love the blues against the rich background.

Just having a scroll through the gallery as just getting some time again to return to my art. This caught my eye. I used to have budgies when I was at college and living in halls. We obviously weren't allowed to have them in our room and I used to let mine fly free. It got out of my room and into the stairwell on one occasion.. Goodness knows how I got it back but remember that we did somehow. I used to have a student who talked about her budgies all day and every day !! I love this happy sketch Diana
