Pebbly foreshore interesting, sea catching the light, two doggy pals and an eye catching yellow.....it's your usual standard Dennis.

Thanks Marjorie I don't know if others get it but I find it hard to see it as it is till a while after not looking at it.

Magical Dennis you really take us there with your eye for essentials it's a beauty

Thanks Dennis very much mate

Good! I agree it's easy to loose image if you look at things too long! You use a screen too ... hard on the eyes

Thanks Gudrun very much

The sea has such sparkling light and is beautifully balanced by the splash of yellow.

Thanks Julie very much appreciated

No worries here dennis, it's good!

Cheers Derek I am not keen on it though

Wonderful sense of energy in this piece, Dennis. The movement of the waves is superbly captured.

I think most of us probably have that problem - certainly I do: getting caught up in the picture, there comes a point at which I just can't see it; I can see the component parts, but not the painting as a whole. It's at that point that it goes away, face to the wall for a while. This works, though - the vivid yellow of the walker's top, the sketchy but recognizable dogs, the white sail on the horizon, all work to bring it together.
