Puts me in mind of one of my poems:

By other than the practised mind
no words expressed, no epithet,
can best describe the coming night
where Sirius casts his rays
and moonlight silvers flexing grass.

Love the dark mystery that this (the picture that is) invokes
Thanks Michael fabulous poem .

Love this painting Dennis.. Wondering if Dennis is okay?

Thanks Maria yes I'm wondering too. Hope he's okay.

Stunning painting Dennis, super perspective too.

Thanks Cesare glad you like it . most people avoid too much green but I don't , I like green as much as any other colour . This painting is green but I like it a lot

Brave and masterly composition dennis

The composition, with the cows at the very bottom and the rest given over to the height of the trees, is interesting. It's hard to put into words but there's a feeling of immensity somehow.
Like Maria and you, I, too, have been missing Dennis and hope he's ok.

Thanks Derek and Marjorie very much . the composition is unusual but I wanted to show just how big some of these mature poplars are they are like a block of flats almost when you get next to them . Yes I hope Dennis is OK I know his health is not good , and I'm wondering where The is hope she's OK too.

Thea has apparently left the site altogether Dennis.

Well, you have achieved the effect you wanted with the trees I think. They envelop you. There is just enough anchor with the cows, if that make sense!

Hi Dennis. Lovely painting, has a very special quality about it. Trees are my friends and confidantes. And yes, Thea seems fine, the last time I had news of her from a mutual friend. Wish you well.

Thank you all and yes Gudrun I get where your coming from , and many thanks Ruth for information about Thea much appreciated truly.
