Like Maria, I 'prefer' this one. It's the addition of the white shirt and red awning. It's more 'intimate' somehow and I like figures!

I prefer the other the composition seems better the other one seems like the two main figures are competing for attention.

I like that cast shadow on the left, emphasises the bright sunlight. I think I prefer this one but not sure why! I wonder if you had made the shadow on the right a little paler, it would emphasise the cast shadow more?

What is so exciting about this painting is that you have pitched the red and green awning to complementary perfection. They make me tingle!! The highlight on the central man's shoulder makes him the focal point as well as the dark awning pointing down towards him. Love those colours.
