A potboiler to me is the time it takes deciding the type of media to use and I don't even make up my mind in that short time. A lovely painting. Well done.

Thanks C A by potboiler i mean its a formula in my head and its all been done before its just the layout that varies . You are a much more careful worker than me but there is a place in life for both indeed its essential to have both for the sake of variety. It would become very boring without . Thankyou so much C A .

Fantastic colour for the snow Dennis! You have such a good eye for different moods of the nature and results are always spot on.

Thankyou Satu yes being as the snow is a large part of the picture it needs to be interesting and best way i know is colour, you have to be careful though not to go so far that it is unbelievable. Its a delicate balance. Incidentally i can see it is Maureen Lipman i was just being cheeky, i cant join you guys in these udol as i simply cant do it .

Those pinks and blues make it smashing dennis. You have an eye for these scenes/

Reminds me of our walk yesterday, hills still snowy. Lovely shades in snow Dennis.

Remarkable work Dennis.love the position of the DOG!!!

Thankyou all its very much appreciated. The colours in the snow enhance this painting the placing of the dog is where my little dog would be running on ahead. Thankyou all again

Yes - must agree with Satu - the colours used are so good.

Many thanks Michael yes I like the colours on this but until I put it on the gallery and you guys drew my attention to it I never really noticed they were nice . funny man I am

You certainly have a way with snow Dennis, you create shadows and depth of snow so naturally.

Thankyou Fiona i do like painting snow the trick is to get loads of colour into your snow. This scen is out of my head , the man and dog too , i keep them simple so they are incidental in the painting and not dominating it . Thankyou so much Fiona.
