Super scene from Provence Denis, lovely colours and great figure work in the masses of people, you have shown them casually moving about as well just as people wandering around historic areas like this would be

I have just read in the current issue of The Artist that Ted Wesson said that the best results in watercolour painting were obtained when he had to work quickly. I worked quickly trying to give myself time to get on to find the next painting spot.

This really caught my eye. I love the light on the far building and the cool shade in the foreground. Lovely looseness - something I strive towards (and rarely achieve lol)

I do love your pen and wash. You get just the right balance between the penwork and the wash and also choose exactly the right colours. Lovely painting, Denis.
