An in and wash which I painted in Crowland. The Art Club had an outdoor session but I went to Crowland Abbey when the Club was meeting at Thorney Abbey. Where is everybody? Anyway I made this picture - something I’d been meaning to do for years, ever since I saw the scene sketched by my much admired artist, Edward Wesson.
