A very good oldie, sorry you can't get out and about as much.

As a result of seeing this sketch, Peter McCann has decided to keep a sketch book! Good for him! Although I rarely get out and about these days (it’s my age you know) I still derive pleasure from skimming g over the contents of the numerous sketch books which can be found on my book shelves. Having a sketchbook with me on my travels was one of the best things I have ever done. I wasn’t trying to paint a masterpiece - simply recording where I’d been with a drawing that took an hour or even a quick scribble which took only a few minutes. They were for my enjoyment only but I have found that they are enjoyed by others.

Your drawings and sketches are excellent Denis and being in much the same position as yourself with regard to age and walking etc, I agree that there is a great deal of pleasure to be got from looking through old sketch books. Keep posting please.
