It was Mid September. I'd spent two weeks in Brittany and around Poitiers just driving around the countryside, painting whatever took my fancy. Somewhere close by St. Loud I stumbled on this scene. It was the huge ancient tower, which attracted my attention. A warm, still day ... so quiet!
