Another wonderful and incredibly detailed drawing Denise. I am a bit worried about Alfie though he looks to be on a bit of a precarious position!

Stunning and what work is in this marvellous drawing! Also in awe of your patience - it must have taken hours of work. All the houses and trees look 3D to me - quite amazing.

lovely subtle work, Denise. beautiful textures and I love the touch of colour with all the chimney pots

I dread to think how many hours this has taken you to complete Denise, but I expect it has been a labour of love if Bath is special to you. It's always a pleasure to look at your incredible work.

Amazing detailed drawing, your love for the subject comes through in your work. Hope Alfie manages to cling on to the window cill!

It has been said. Your artistic licence just adds that little bit extra to an excellent pen and ink.

This is a really exquisite piece, Denise - really a labor of love. Love it!

Thank you all for your comments it was a labor of love, but an enjoyable one ! Looking at it now I think its not the best photo of it, looks better the 'flesh', a little darker.

Amazing drawing skills, you manage to get so much texture in your work, simply stunning.

Denise your trees and stonework are so beautifully detailed. Brilliant work.

AMAZING....!

Thank you all for your lovely comments, always so encouraging.

agree with everyone else here, such detail in you Bath pen and inks, love the brighter colour in the chimney pots, as an occasional drawer i have no doubt that this was a labour of love, the amount of time to render a scene in this much pencil or pen and ink detail is jaw dropping and the reason why we see few of these with this much detail on this site or anywhere else

Pen and ink painting measuring 42cm x 52cm. This is the year that I feel in love with this beautiful City. We have visited twice this year. I did this painting as a match for my previous 'Back streets of Bath'. This is also the back streets of Bath, somewhere behind the famous crescent. I have used some artistic licence in this one by adding the curtains blowing in the breeze and 'my little cat Alfie' snoozing on a windowsill. See if you can spot him.
