Ringwood Hotel Derbyshire

Wow, Denise, it must have taken you hours to do this. Beautiful, perfectly drawing of the Hotel. The branches and leaves in the sky/foreground give a lot of depth to the whole composition. What is the reddish colour you used, is it a mix? Stunning work! Please let us know how the exhibition is going on!

Mia the red colour is deep red indian ink with a slight mix of another colour think it might be nut brown. Thank you for kind comment Mia.

Denise this is a fantstic and stunningly acurate painting of Ringwood Hotel......I daren't ask how many hours you spent on this one! It has also brought back memories of torture....when it was in private hands the junior school that I went to (48-ish years ago) used their OUT door swimming pool for lessons, summer and winter. In the summer you wouldn't dare swallow any of the water because of the dead things floating in it, and in the winter, we would have to break the ice first. No heated changing rooms either!!

Thank you ladies, and sorry fiona for bringing back memories of torture ! My junior school was the same ,even in winter we had to go in the outdoor pool. If you held back the headmaster would push you in !! I don't think the Ringwood has a pool now, but I could be wrong.
