You can do anything you like with acrylics, and this is a good start. If you want detail - and I often do - ignore the "no fiddling" brigade: you can add much more detail than this if you want to, and unlike other media acrylic will enable you to keep freshness and interest with an amount of detail that might be oppressive and over the top in watercolour or even oil.

I don't think there's too much detail, Denise. Nice palette and tones. I like the composition and abstract feel.
