The detail in this is amazing, Deborah. Lovely colours, just altogether beautiful.Good luck with the submissionsn- you deserve to do well!

Very nice painting,good composition.Well done.

Thanks. I've found that because I work in quite a traditional area It is often quite difficult to do anything fresh. I've looked at both of your work and I'm realising that it is very acheivable, just do it. You both have and beautifully. Falluca on the nile and Saffy? was it, the little terrier, are both traditional but quirky and fresh. Yes we have seen them before, everyone has seen goldfinches or kingfishers, terriers and boats, but it's how we interpret or render them. Regards to you both I shall watch with interest and admiration.

Really nice work, must have taken forever doing all those berries, a lot of good work on your website too, good luck with your competitions.

I was fed up with the berries by the time I was done, several layers on each one too. But I was pleased with the result. Thanks for checking out my site and your good wishes.

I have a history with glass, I think this comes out in my painting. Clean lines, crisp colours, tight no nonsence approach. I started painting two years ago it is a revelation to me. I'm ever so slightly addicted. I'm hopeing to enter many competitions next year, fingers crossed. This one is entered with three others for the Sheffield Art in the park. If you're in the area pop down sep.3 & 4, they also convinced me to have a go at the portrait of distinction. A little intimidating. It's my first ever portrait. So I will have to cross finger, legs, toes and my eyes. Wish me luck!
