Woman 2 by Deborah Cauchi

I remember these magazines, my mother collected stacks of them then took a day off to read them, as I remember. And these impossibly white teeth, and red lips, and outsize hats usually featured on the covers - as did some really rather good stories, and illustrations in the then new medium of acrylic, inside. Do they still thrive, I wonder?

hi Robert, think some are still going albet nothing as nice or glamous to look at. . I think Woman is now Womans own and "She" is still going which surprised me. As a portrait/ figurative artist these are fasinating to look at. I love the perfectly made up faces and as you say all with bright red lipstick and huge hats. I do like the fact that the more "Glamour Mags" of the time did not picture stick thin women but had women with curves..
