Good composition and the water works very well.

Beautiful! There is a wonderful unity with the colours and tones.

This works beautifully Dawn. Love the unity of colour, the reflections and the crisp feel of autumn.

Your objectives have ben very well achieved!

This is very nice indeed.

Lovely and subdued which sets of the reflection perfectly.

Love a good puddle or two, and sky reflections Dawn, very well painted.

The water and reflections really bring it together.

To try to capture the muted tones of autumn is always tricky, you're pushed towards the oranges and greens. I have tried in this piece to reduce the chroma and mixed a lot of the colours with grey, I do usually love the intensity of colour but in this piece I wanted the calmness and the distance of the hills to shine through. It was directly after a storm and the sky was still grey, but the optimism of better weather was on its way. Gouache on paper A3
