You’ve done a grand job of this Dawn. The eyes are so alive with expression and that snazzy wallpaper gives the painting a kind of rhythm.

14 x11 pastel on pastel mat. I loved painting this commission of Poppy. She looks a bit like my dog, Jack. The owner wanted her funky wallpaper in the background. I toned it down from the original and I think it worked quite well in the end.
