I do like the semi poster style and your imagination plus skills to create this David

Love the style of this, impressive.

Hi David, I could look at this painting for hours!! My only comment would be to graduate the receding very dark shapes a little to increase the feeling of depth (particularly the one on the right) but for a traditionalist like me it's a bit special!!

Thanks for your comments Geoff, but the in this particular style of abstraction i have deliberately devalued all traditional academic principals of perspective, form and tonal reality to create a very flat, for want of a better word "design". I know that your "traditional conditioning" finds this somewhat at odds with academic principles ,but a little study of ,say Ben Nicholson and his contemporaries might enlighten why some of us stray into the interesting unknown ...as we have debated many times.. things are not always as they appear old friend !!

Very well done, from the unique clouds to the checkerboard fields! I especially love your cloud shapes. I have tried the flat, "design" oriented concept, not easy to accomplish. Wonderful choices in palette too!
