27 x 19 Pastel on paper inspired while wandering around a small mountain village my wife and I frequent as often as we can in Andalucia I blended various aspects of the experience and used a photo taken later int he afternoon/evening as the focal point of this portrait. I was working on building the impressionistic strokes uop into the portrait while not completely blending away the original foundation in order to create the emotion... hope it works for you?
