I take it you are a Scot using an expression like 'peelywally'. Being a Scot myself, it's a word used frequently in our house and is part of our normal vocabulary, but not sure if it is well known in England. Nice to see it appear on the gallery by way of explanation! This is a wonderful slice of history with these two jolly ladies with their bunches of colourful flowers. I get a real sense of their character's from the faces you have drawn and painted so well. Really enjoyed looking at it.

I love this kind of painting David. It will be a lovely heirloom to pass on.

Thea yes I'm from Glasgow. Thank for your kind words . I just say what I feeling. Thanks for your kind words and would Aldo like to thank Frank for his comments too. Interestingly enough my wife's Grandfather has lived in Glasgow for around 50 odd years. He's originally from Norfolk. He still has his English accent but uses Glaswegian word. How good is that? I still need to paint more I need to finish my other post of Stan and Ollie Thanks David

This is my wife's grandfather's mother on the left and aunt on the right . It was from a photo. Location Norfolk with the Bell pub behind them. They did have peelywally completions and I chose to paint as I saw in photo
