Hi David - yes I do think it is an improvement - apart from the little mark below the mouth(?) Anyway she is just lovely - but you almost get the feeling that she has sat TWICE for the portrait and is now a bit fed up!!

I think you are still missing out on a little detail around her eyes David, children have smooth skin but not that smooth!

Thanks Ann & Ross This image has been challenging as the photo that it was painted from is a holiday photo with a mixture of extremely harsh light and sunburn. Believe it or not my first attempt is the actual colours. But I appreciate I have the right to make it better, it hasn't been easy Thanks Again David

I think that the colour of her arms is now very good and the skin is nice and soft. Her face on the right hand side is a bit too pale and should be more in shadow because the light comes from her left. The curve of the face is also a bit too sharp when you compare it to her arms. But as I said before it is a very very good first attempt David!

Thanks Satu I will attempt to tweak a little more. I don't know whether it's a positive or negative but painting is looking far better than the photo. Not a great light or balanced photo
