You have really captured the mood David beautiful colours and lovely tree shapes a really nice painting. Dare I suggest if you may have tried just putting touches of darker areas amongs the remaining foliage on the trees it would have given you a stronger silhouette in places to break the uniformity, likewise with your tree shadows, on snow you get undulations so you get variations in colour depth so stronger patches of colour along the shadow suggest undulation etc, just suggestions do not mean to offend in any way, because I still think it is a smashing painting.

Thank you Dennis and Malcolm for your comments, no offence taken Malcolm, I am a novice and the main reason for joining the community and posting my paintings is for all the help and advice given by other artists, which is invaluable, I will certainly take your advice on board and use it.
