Have just found this lovely...Vermeer is my favourite artist...I did this same painting as a copy of a master in art classes for an exam piece in the 80's but you have managed to capture her innocence whereas mine had a real come and get me look about her got a good mark for it...

I think, (until hollywood steped in), that it was now thought the girl could quite well have been the artists daughter. I tend to subscribe to this thinking also. Thanks for taking the time to look. I love this, well done. I've always liked vermeer and had a go myself but did it with acrylic on board. You have got her eyes.

As a distraction from the run of the mill, I decieded to do a little reproduction art, she measures 16 by 12 inches oil on canvas. I had a lot of fun experimenting with ageing techniques.
