Last train for Belterbet

Last train for Belterbet

It's a very precise neat job David, I think movement amongst the figures would help, but the loco is the star.

Thanks Derek, the person commissioning the work asked for the figures to be portrayed that way, the guard is his father, the woman his mother and the old gent his grandfather!

Great train painting and so detailed. These trains gave a lot of atmosphere to the stations and were so colourful in comparison to todays ones.

great technique and treatment

Beautiful paintings, David. What is the medium you are using?

JT class 2-4-2 of the GRNI stands at Ballyhaise station in Co. Cavan circa 1950 with a branch train for Belterbet. The train departing on the r/h side has come from Cavan and is heading for Belfast via Clones,Armagh, and Portadown. The young lad depicted is now happily retired!
