Super moment in time in the rich colours of acrylics giving a sumptuousness to this scene that already has the super puffing steam train coming into view, a great sky, and fabulous light from that lamp post, the buildings are superb

This painting depicts Enniskillen South signal cabin and the tracks of the Sligo Leitrim & Northern counties railway on the right and the Great Northern railway (Ireland) on the left. This was their junction in Co Fermanagh Northern Ireland and is set on a winters night in the 1930's. The signalman has left the warmth of his cabin to receive the single line staff from the approaching train in the distance. Sadly this scene is nowadays a car park !!
