I love the warm colour of the sea wall and again in one of the houses, against the misty fading bluey grey tones of the rest of the painting, and the uprights of the boat masts and the structure on the wall against the different levels of the water, boats, wall and buildings, think is a very calming scene

Nice loose David Curtis type and a view painted by many. The impression of mist is so good but does the left hand red roof need cut back a bit. I l know it is red because I have painted it but it brings the shipwrights house forward from the background. I hope you don't mind this comment because I encourage helpful remarks about my own postings

Hi Dave, Yes I think that is better. ? you put a neutral wash over it

No neutral wash just lifted out two masts and re-painted them and re photographed and transfered to site so there may be a slight variation in colour , paintings are very difficult to copy absolutely correctly don,t you think The red roof appeared much blue- er in the morning light . The sun was actually shining on the house in the middle distance which helped the over all balance . You mention D curtis , i hope to be watching him this year at Patchings , He is my seccond favorite painter in w-c T Chamberlain being my first
