Two quick sketches of my friends doggies. My first attempts at dogs, these are black Labradors. I used a 4h pencil and so could go much darker by working through the grades and spending more time on them but I just used a little black pencil and coloured pencil.

Inspired by an artist friend I came back to paint a bit at the end of 2017. At the moment I am enjoying it and maybe because I have the patience to look more than I once did I am finding it easier and more enjoyable to actually produce a likeness.
