Hmm, I hadn't thought about it Gudrun... I would more likely enter the head of Perseus I did (that's from Cellini's bronze in Rome) but I really don't feel I am ready to enter my work yet, I am just a novice at present and dissatisfied with all but a few that I have done.

A4 sketch of Achilles... splash of coloured pencil...bish bash bosh and it was done. Some complex shadows on a dark surface and reflections, caused me some issues and I didn't spend so long on it but we get the idea.

Inspired by an artist friend I came back to paint a bit at the end of 2017. At the moment I am enjoying it and maybe because I have the patience to look more than I once did I am finding it easier and more enjoyable to actually produce a likeness.
