This was the first drawing I had done in 30 years.. Plenty of mistakes in it but good to get back into it again.

I have been painting for 5 years now. My father was a really good marine artist but my thing is portraiture. I almost always use oils but also like pastels and charcoal. I prefer realism but would like to develop a looser style.. Every painting is a new lesson for me and I really enjoy the journey.
