Biography

My dad was an excellent marine artist and always encouraged me to draw when I was a kid.. I pretty much ignored it until my mid 50s when I started to draw again. I am fascinated by hyper realism and every picture is another step towards that goal although I tend to like artists with very loose styles. I only paint when I feel ike it which is not as often as I would like. My latest medium is airbrush which I have taken to quite easily, although I love oils too. My favourite artist is JS Sargent, mainly because of his limited palette and attention to detail. I consider myself a portrait painter but will be trying to expand my range in the near future! Onwards and Upwards!
