It blasts off the screen already... I've never varnished watercolour: normally, I wouldn't see a need to, in fact it would detract from their surface quality, but using it in this unusual way (and proving it can be done: watercolour doesn't need to have all the impact of tea) changes the perspective on the usual rules and guidance. How you manage your colour blindness I don't know ... it sounds like a massive handicap, but then - those are what we're here to rise above (imagine that in the accents of Katherine Hepburn in the African Queen..). I read of someone using cold wax to seal a watercolour the other day: again, I've never done that; and it might not be appropriate for this painting - you'd want a clear varnish which didn't soften the impact, I imagine. Anyway, technical details to one side, you've produced a powerful bit of work!

A sock it to you painting, excellent Dave

More Watercolour than Acrylic on fine art paper, this one was inspired by 50s,60s pop art, its one of my favorite eras for art, so many great artists, this painting took me nearly two weeks to complete, I used watercolour straight from the tube like Acrylic very little water, still needs to be varnished to really make the colours blast off the paper.
