Trapped less now. I can't comment on your painting skills - they seem perfect. Can only comment on how your paintings affect me. This is my favourite so far.

Thank you - I need to take them further - their failure for me lies in the fact that I am not using the acrylics as loose as I want to - as loose, at least as the watercolours in my first outdoor paintings at Blackweir. I realised they wern't going to work quite like I wanted - but I didn't want to stop - so I formalised them by using the arch or door device that I use in a lot of paintings - it simply means - You Are Somewhere Else.

Oh, that's interesting. I had a time when I couldn't stop inserting frames all over my paintings. I've still got some - the paintings didn't seem right without them. That was not the same as the doorway effect you use though. It works. It doesn't matter that they developed in a different way from how you'd imagined, does it, but I suppose it does matter if you don't feel that you reached a place you were happy with. I like this very much, but I'm not sure why. I think it's because it makes me feel like a fish again, but maybe that's not it. I'm trying hard to understand why I like it. Maybe I should just stop trying and then soon I might know? It's satisfying because it's complete.
