I started by a "flat" horizon of silhouettes in watercolour with the aim of evoking some trees and houses. I decided to use just two colours with the purpose of getting a simple composition Then I added some more defined figures in the vegetation foreground to transmit depth, as well as other details such as the hence with the purpose of getting life into the illusion.

I started watercolour painting two years ago, just for fun, since I retired in my late 50's. I like pencil drawing as well. I chose these techniques because they allow me to practice anywhere and because the result is quick.
