A good painting with loose technique but in no way represents British landscape...an aspect, yes, but the Scots and Welsh might rightly say that you have omitted other forms of topography.

Thanks for all the comments everybody! Roger Knapik, I feel that you could have said the same had I called it after the Welsh town I was in, or named it "A view from...." Perhaps grid references 🤔 I was painting in and enjoying the view of the British countryside 😉

I don’t care where you sat to paint this Craig, I would love to have it on my wall. Lovely interlocking shapes and patterns, excellent composition and a carefully considered cool palette, very appropriate to our soft English light. You have made a personal interpretation of the landscape. This is no longer a view, it is art. (In my opinion...)
