Dressing the Bride by Catherine Corfield

A lovely piece of narrative painting, super good. I have a question though - the mirror reflects the woman in blue but not the woman in pink/white, strange but interesting?

ah ok, it's just that I saw the woman in the mirror with her hair tied back but in the foreground I didn't read it as the same hairstyle but can now see when I look closely that the hair at the back is in some kind of gathering which is not so obvious in the reflection. Anyway, it's a great painting.

I was also confused with the hair! But it’s a terrific painting capturing a special time.
