Beautiful colours, definitely transports the viewer to the place - I wish!

I love your expertise in depicting the transparency of the water.

Thank you for your kind comments. As I was using acrylic it was relatively easy to capture the transparency of the water by painting the underwater rocks first and then glazing over them with various transparent blues including pthalo and indanthrene for the darker shades. I then painted the lacy foam, and this was probably the most difficult bit.

Amazing work. I like the colours you have used in this work. Water shines so well with these rocks! Amazing. My best compliments!

Here is a recent painting of the Mediterranean lapping rocks just outside St Tropez, inspired by a photo I took on a painting holiday a few years ago. It is on a panel measuring 30x40cm.
