This is recent painting of the villa in the Var region of France where I often enjoy a painting holiday. I was intrigued by the raking light on the mellow stones of the house, which was constructed in Napoleonic times, and used a more meticulous technique than usual with plenty of glazes. The painting is on a canvas-covered mdf board and measures 30x40cm.
