Great little painting Chris.

Thank you Kelly, It was fun painting this. What I love about watercolour is the way it has a mind of its own. I am discovering not to try and over correct the effect and just go with it. The results can be surprising and sometimes amazing.

This is an attempt at a quick watercolour sketch on cartridge paper based on Hazel Sloane’s example picture from her article “The Way Of The Brush” in the May 2019 issue of The Artist magazine. The colours ran for me in an amusing way , especially the Gentleman’s jacket. Which I had to resize but it looks as if the wind has caught it as they spin in their embrace.
