A complicated scene on such a small size Chris but you have coped well. I struggle with smooth paper, tends to give a rather muddy effect, you could try it again on better paper. I’ve been using cheap paper recently and my work has suffered, New Years resolution- use better paper!

That bit of tooth on the paper makes a big difference, depending what your subject is. I can’t get on with smooth paper. You’ve done a super job considering the difficulties with the paper and time constraints, the sky and trees are really good.

Watercolour 7x5inches done very quickly on apiece of hot press smooth paper that was lying about in the studio.Would probably have turned out better on not paper.
